Hutch Ranck

Hutch Ranck had a senior executive career of 31 years with DuPont in Australia, Hong Kong and the USA. He was CEO of DuPont ANZ for 11 years and Group Managing Director of DuPont ASEAN for 6 years. His non-executive career includes being a Director of the Business Council of Australia, the CSIRO, Iluka Resources and Chairman of Elders Ltd. He is currently Chairman of Autopak Vetlab and of J.L.Lennard.

The combination of an extensive business background that includes a wide mix of industries and geographies, as well as management practices and cultures, and extensive experience in mentoring leaders, makes Hutch a valuable resource for business leaders seeking mentoring support. Hutch has wide experience and understanding of the challenges that CEOs and senior executives face, including as they move into new roles. He has made the transition from doing to listening and advising. He enjoys understanding the complex world that each leader has to navigate and the satisfaction when he is able to contribute to others’ success.

In his career with DuPont, Hutch has led businesses in agricultural chemicals, pharmaceuticals, industrial chemicals and consumer products. He has also led initiatives in operational excellence, customer order fulfillment, Six Sigma, and sales and operational planning. While he was Managing Director of DuPont Australia, Hutch pioneered engaged leadership practices within his senior team. Australia became the first country in the world for DuPont to use a transparent 360° feedback process for all supervisors annually. Hutch then extended the practice into Asia when he became Group Managing Director of DuPont ASEAN.

Hutch was born in the USA and became an Australian citizen in 1996. He is married to Annabelle and has three daughters. He is a golf tragic and enjoys twilight sailing.
