Mark Adams

Mark has held CEO roles in FTSE 250 companies, private equity backed and startup ventures and most recently spent five years running one of the UK’s largest Charities ‘Community Integrated Care’ (Charity Times Charity of the Year in 2019/20).

 

Over a 40-year career across Healthcare, Insurance and Service Industries Mark has held responsibility for large transformation, turnaround as well as buy and build business challenges. He has global experience having worked in the UK, America, India and extensively in the Middle East.

 

Mark sits on the Boards of John Hopkins Aramco Healthcare and the listed Tibbiyah Healthcare business’ in Saudi Arabia and Renovo Healthcare in the UK with Chair, NED and various Audit, Finance and Investment and Remuneration Committee responsibilities.

Mark is an exponent of Servant Leadership and believes in the importance of building highly empowered high performing teams.

 

He’s also of the opinion that building a safe, confidential and trusting relationship is essential if a mentor and mentee are going to have the right level of challenge, straight talking, stretch and hopefully an element of fun.

During Mark’s career across Healthcare, Insurance and Service Industries he has founded and successfully exited three businesses as well as been brought in by private equity groups or Boards looking for transformational leadership.

 

Denplan, AXAhealthcare, BMI Hospitals and Community Integrated Care are some of the organisations that were led by Mark in the UK. Amongst his notable achievement he counts launching Virgin Healthcare and managing the turnaround of Corporate Services Group PLC.

 

In terms of his experience in the Middle East he ran Gulf Healthcare International and founded Anglo Arabian Healthcare from concept to exit.

 

Mark has also sat on the Boards of many Charities including Common Purpose, Common Purpose International, David Lewis Centre for Epilepsy, the British Quality Foundation, British Disability Forum and the London Branch of the NSPCC. He Chairs the International Charity ‘Human Health Education and Research Foundation’.

Married to Julie (a leading fine art portrait photographer) they have six children and homes in the UK, France and Dubai. Mark is a supporter of Everton Football Club  and therefore continually frustrated, a keen golfer and skier and is doing his ICF qualifications at Henley Business School.
