Sam Roberts
Sam is Finance Director at Global Mentors Group where he is responsible for the smooth running of all accounting and finance systems, as well as forward looking planning for finance and strategy. Sam’s background has involved a breadth of experience, starting with a technical Audit and Accounts training (ACA) then working with a wide range of companies from newly incorporated bootstrapped startups to hypergrowth Scaleups to FTSE100 corporate development.
Sam has a wide range of experience focussed mainly on the tech startup space, where he has built out teams, systems and processes to ensure success for companies such as OnePlan (Olympic partner in events planning and 3D digital twinning), Lexoo (legal marketplace platform) and 3 scaleups newly acquired by Canon Europe, Kite.ly Irista and Lifecake. ACA trained, Sam first moved into industry working for HSA, a corporate incubator owned by the Homeserve Group.
Sam holds a degree in Mathematics and Philosophy from Warwick, and enjoys a mainly sedentary life in Walthamstow walking his dog around the marshes, punctuated by mountain biking, snowboarding and travel to Mexico whenever he gets the chance.
