Margie Seale
Overview
Margie Seale is a highly experienced Board Director with more than 30 years’ experience in senior executive roles in Australia and overseas.
Margie has proven skills and expertise in creating products, understanding customers, building brands, driving organisational and market transformation in industries impacted by technological and digital disruption, supply chain and logistics, turning around underperforming businesses, governing complex organisations and doing business in Asia and across multinational markets.

Margie has expertise in working with Boards and leaders to deliver successful transformation and execute on strategy. Margie is inquisitive, she brings a lateral approach to strategic problem solving and is recognised for her intellect and original thinking.
As a Mentor, Margie brings a diversity of experience acquired in telecommunications, media/publishing, FMCG, financial services, retail, property and health/medical research sectors.
Career History
Margie is currently Non-Executive Director with Scentre Group, Westpac Banking Corporation, Westpac Scholars Trust, JANA Investment Advisers, SBW Foundation and Pinchgut Opera. She has previously served on the Boards of Telstra Corporation, Australian Pacific (Holdings), Bank of Queensland, Ramsay Health Care, Random House ANZ and Sydney Writers’ Festival.
Prior to Margie’s board career, Margie was CEO of publishing company Random House Australia and New Zealand for more than a decade delivering record profits while successfully making the transition from an entirely print world to a market in which digital is central to success. For the last two years of her tenure, she was additionally President, Asia Development for Random House Inc.
Personal
Margie is married and enjoys reading, arduous walking and cycling trips (in order to eat delicious food), music and travelling.
